I had been keeping unneeded duplicates, unflattering shots, and blurry pictures for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON! In sorting through all of the pictures I was able to find some rare gems that will now find a home in a scrapbook rather than in cold storage.
The idea of Photo Freedom is that you release yourself from chronological scrapping and scrapbook to celebrate relationships, things you love, people you love and things that you want to remember. I found tons of pictures of the towers that Fred and the boys built when they were younger. I need to document that. I found a great picture of my Aunt Janie with Nic. I need to blow that up and document that brief relationship.
I found some outright hilarious pictures of my kids and more pictures of myself than I knew existed. I guess Fred can use a camera? It was funny to look at the clothes I have worn over time and wonder what ever happened to that shirt, sweater, sweatshirt? It was fun to look at the boys' old toys. How we were at one time majorly involved in Fisher Price Little People and all of the primary colored glory associated with that. I had pics of old playgroups, birthday parties and just day to day living. I took a ton of pictures of my kids eating. I guess they were at least sitting still so I had to take my chance while I could.
It was fun and worthwhile and takes me one step further in my goal of Photo Freedom.
