The offer is still out there. We countered with a slightly higher price and a little longer to stay. They said yes to both of those items. YEAH! We are going to come out ahead this time! The one contingency holding things up is the guy's desire for garage space. The couple came over last night with their realtor and contractor to see if the garage is feasible and how much space they had to work with. Fred had located the actual surveyors pins the night before so we were that far ahead. Anyway, it seems we have more yard than we thought so he has a little bit more room to play with. His contractor said it can all be done so now he just needs a couple of rubber stamps from the neighborhood building committee and the county. He will submit his latest ideas today or tomorrow and hopefully hear back by early next week. In the meantime they will have an inspection completed and we'll move forward with what we can do.
The other BIG news about yesterday was that I submitted my letter of resignation. I marked my last day as May2nd. We will head to TX the first full week in May and I will sit around and eat bon bons for the rest of the month. Good plan huh? Well, it's time to get the boys from school. We are headed straight home to do homework and veg. Another good plan.
